What are the policy differences of INDIA and NDA ?

The largest democratic election in the world, Indian Lok Sabha elections 2024 came to an end yesterday. Everyone is waiting for the results now and exit polls already started coming out.

While most of the exit polls predicts majority for NDA, the BJP led alliance there is confusion regarding the numbers. Let us discuss the major policy differences between these alliances.

Congress led INDIA alliance is just a group of parties with leaders who are ambitious to become Indian Prime Minister. The alliance is not so strong even at this stage, because the leading party which is congress itself is struggling to win the trust from people. As they are still trying to fight BJP hanging on to their old-style soft Hindutva, Indian National Congress is losing ground at this moment. Unless they are able to come up with strong alternatives to BJP’s politics, the road ahead is even harder for Congress and its allies. While many of the Indians, support Congress party’s policies related to secularism and inclusivity, many are doubtful about its leadership and its ability to bring economic prosperity to the country.

On the other hand, BJP wins mass votes showing Narendra Modi as their icon and their religiously polarizing slogans. While it is true that they could economically progress to the country over the past few years, they need to move away from polarizing politics to sustain their winning streak.
